Im vacation in Myrtle Beach for a weekend, I need a rental car? So what is the best hotel to stay?

I I've never been in Myrtle Beach, and I do not mind taking taxis or buses, but it would be cheaper to just get a rental car? No I do not venture beyond Boardwalk luck "or leave the beach very often. What fun activities to do?

Car hire its cheaper than taxis. Broadway at the beach is fun, Ripley's Aquarium is very cool (believe it or not museum is not). You can see a Pelicans game (baseball) and the beach is so bad.
